30 Days in Rugbyland for Serge

October 28, 2015

All started in May by a phone call from my former employer in France, asking me if I was available this September and October to work as a cameraman during the Rugby World Cup 2015...

What??? Of course I am available! Not only for the pleasure to get closer to this great sport, but also for doing what I like the most in life (among a few other things), operating a camera, and in that case a TV camera, filming the players of the RWC 2015, doing stands up and interviews, live, for a major french TV channel. After hanging up the phone, I had to put myself back together, and deal with a sudden increase of my blood pressure... :). Not that it is anything new for me, I used to do this on a daily basis in the past, but let say that it had not happened for quite a while, since I moved permanently to the UK.

So, after some personal preparation and technical update, I joined the team in Twickenham on the 15th of September...

These 30 days have been absolutely great. Technically challenging, Physically exhausting, but really rewarding when seeing the results on the screen. It could have been a little longer, but the All Blacks decided otherwise. No problem, it will stay a great adventure, and I'm now ready for the next one!
